Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. Her childhood was spent listening to traditional Boleros from the past and the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana is an avid fan of tangos. She also loves operas, and every form of drama. Ana began learning and singing the piano with her mom, and commenced more serious singing training at the age of 16 with renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. While a student, and being a young professional within Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choruses. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. Her love and passion for art, music, and performing has her involved in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana is also a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for being able to share her passion and enthusiasm for traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to instill a sense of, especially among younger generations to keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
