She developed multiple organ failures, and her kidneys did not fully recover. The patient was required to change her daily routine around hemodialysis and later on the peritoneal dialysate. After nearly 80 days in hospital, from death towards recovery, she got home, however the course of her life changed forever. After one year and a half of dialysis, Angelica was ready for the most significant operation of her life-her kidney transplant. Angelica's mom was the only one who could donate an organ. Angelica Hale was able to undergo a kidney transplantation along alongside her mother on the 13th of September 2013.
